Katanga Village

Democratic Republic of Congo
In 2021, Anton, Lee-Ann, and Michael felt called by God to travel to the Democratic Republic of Congo. As they journeyed north from Lubumbashi, God had placed something specific on Anton’s heart: Go to Katanga Village.
Despite warnings that no such village existed—only a Kabinda Province—the team trusted what Anton had heard from the Lord.
Joined by their Congolese friend Tridon, they drove for days on treacherous roads deep into the heart of the Congo. Just when it seemed they might have lost their way, they felt led to take a left turn down a bush road—one so remote it wasn’t even on their GPS. After a long, uncertain drive, they stopped at nightfall to ask a village chief for permission to camp.
Tridon returned, visibly shaken and wide-eyed, with words they will never forget:
“This is Katanga Village!”
God had spoken, and He had led them precisely where they needed to be. It was a profound reminder that even when the road is rough and the destination unclear, God always guides those who are willing to listen and obey.
