Kenya 2018

The team set out for Kakuma Refugee Camp in northern Kenya—home to thousands fleeing war and hardship. With two trucks and a Land Cruiser pickup, they carried a precious cargo: 40 tons of Bibles, destined for people desperate for hope.

As they moved further north, they consolidated the entire load onto one truck—knowing that past a certain point, weighbridges wouldn’t be an issue. The journey was slow and difficult, but purposeful.

Near Lodwar, they hit a major obstacle: a bridge had been washed away by floodwaters. In its place, the military had constructed a temporary bridge—with a strict limit of 4 tons. The team now sat in a 40-ton truck. Turning around meant days of delay and passing through extremely dangerous territory.

Anton looked at Lee-Ann—not to ask her what she thought, but what she felt.
With quiet courage, she said:
“Let’s do it.”

As they began to cross, the bridge creaked and crackled, metal and wood straining under the impossible weight. Soldiers stood on the far side, eyes wide, holding their breath. And yet—the bridge held.

Because when God sends you, He makes a way where there is none.
His plans may not make sense to the mind—but they are sure to the spirit.
What felt impossible became a testimony:
God Himself was their bridge over troubled waters.
